French Truck Coffee Expands to Metairie Road

NEW ORLEANSFrench Truck Coffee has announced a new chapter as the company expands under its family leadership.

Founder Geoffrey Meeker has stepped away as CEO, passing the torch to longtime partner Bobby Winston and his brother Sam Winston, who will continue to guide French Truck Coffee into its next era.

Bobby Winston joined the company 12 years ago and became both a partner and Director of Coffee at French Truck. The team shares he has played an instrumental role in shaping the brand’s identity and commitment to quality. With his brother Sam joining the leadership team, the company remains a family-led operation dedicated to the same principles that built its loyal following.

“French Truck was founded on the idea that great coffee can bring people together,” said Winston. “We’re honored to continue that legacy while growing our presence in the communities we love.”

Expanding into Metairie

As part of its continued growth, French Truck Coffee has also announced a new location opening in early 2026 at 800 Metairie Rd., taking over the former PJ’s Coffee space. The new café will feature the full lineup of French Truck beverages, house-made pastries from Chef Jeremy Fogg, and breakfast sandwiches and wraps.

This expansion marks the company’s 14th location and represents, what the owners share is, French Truck’s commitment to bringing its signature hospitality and quality to new neighborhoods across the greater New Orleans area. French Truck Coffee currently operates 13 locations across New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Memphis, with plans to expand further across the South.

In addition to its cafés, French Truck Coffee can be found in restaurants, cafés and online, allowing coffee lovers across the country to enjoy its signature roasts at home.

As the company looks toward the future, the Winstons say they are focused on sustainable growth, deepening community partnerships, and maintaining the quality and hospitality that define the French Truck experience.
