NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana Bucket Brigade will host New Orleans Earth Day Fest in partnership with the Cheek Law Firm on Saturday, April 11. The festival will take place at The Broadside in Mid-City with doors opening at 11 a.m.
This is the second consecutive year the Louisiana Bucket Brigade is hosting this event, which is free and open to the public. Doors open at 11 a.m. and performances begin at noon. This year, the event is much larger and is expanding into the parking lot of the Broadside with vendors, artists and food throughout.
“We are proud to host Earth Day Festival – it’s a festival with a purpose,” says LA Bucket Brigade’s Founding Director Anne Rolfes. “At every turn, there are giant corporations that want to take our land in pursuit of relentless industrialization of all we hold dear. The festival is a reminder of what we cherish – our music, our food, our culture. If we want our home to remain habitable into the future, we have to stand up. Our Earth Day Festival is an important way to make connections and have fun so that we can stand strongly, together.”
