NEW ORLEANS – The Urban League of Louisiana announced that Tyronne Walker, Vice President of Policy, Strategic Partnerships and Development will depart the organization and return to full-time consulting. For three years, Walker has overseen the organization’s work in policy and social justice, external affairs, and fund development.
“Tyronne has been a tremendous asset to the Urban League Movement and helped strengthen our organization’s ability to increase impact across the state,” said Judy Reese Morse, President and CEO. “Tyronne has been our principal on all things advocacy, partnerships, and development. Under his leadership we have strengthened our infrastructure, increased our brand, and secured more resources to better serve vulnerable families throughout Louisiana. He has given our organization 100% and has been a consummate professional. We wish him all the best in his next endeavors.”
“When I joined the Urban League of Louisiana in 2022, I was excited to work again with one of my most impactful mentors, Judy Morse; and to work every day for the uplift of the Black community,” said Walker. “For the past three years, I have been afforded the opportunity to do that and so much more. I am grateful to have worked alongside incredibly talented colleagues and partners. Today, the Urban League of Louisiana is stronger and I am excited to continue to support the Movement in the private sector.”
