Career Expo to Expose 3,000+ New Orleans Public High School Students to Well-Paying, In-Demand Jobs

NEW ORLEANS — YouthForce NOLA and Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans have invited 3,000+ public high school freshmen to the 2024 Career Expo taking place on March 22, 2024, from 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. at the UNO Lakefront Arena. The event invites businesses to Purchase exhibitor tables, providing a platform to interact with young talent in a fun, interactive, and relaxed environment.

Each year, Career Expo puts special emphasis on elevating and making direct connections to career options with local employers who want to hire New Orleans public school graduates into good-paying jobs with career growth opportunities. Most of these businesses reflect in-demand fields in both emerging and long-standing career sectors that may not otherwise be top of mind for high school students including:

1) Skilled Crafts include advanced manufacturing, architecture, construction, green
infrastructure, and engineering

2) Health Sciences include biosciences and healthcare, such as nursing

3) Digital Media include IT, graphic design, and software development

4) Business Services include accounting, business operations, and entrepreneurship

Expanding options, opportunity, and prosperity for our youth and our city takes all of us, working
together. Over 60 local employers have already registered for the 2024 Career Expo, demonstrating
their investment in cultivating and sustaining a flourishing New Orleans economy. As a nonprofit
organization, YouthForce NOLA aims to offset event costs by inviting businesses to purchase exhibitor tables. The suggested booth registration fees are based on business sizes, reflecting our
commitment to equity. However, no business or organization will be excluded if unable to contribute a booth fee.

Each booth includes one table, two chairs, and complimentary on-site parking on the day of the Expo. Volunteers can set up at the UNO Lakefront Arena on the afternoon of Thursday, March 21st. A continental breakfast and boxed lunch are also included for employers and their volunteers.

Registration closes soon! For more information and to secure your table, visit
