Louisiana Veteran Employment Summit – Wednesday, May 3rd

NEW ORLEANS — Join NextOp and the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce for the 3rd Annual Louisiana Veteran Employment Summit! The mission of this half-day event is to connect Louisiana employers with national experts who will provide them with training on how to recruit & retain veteran and military talent. The event will involve various panels and a keynote speaker. Coffee and refreshments will be provided. Following the summit, there will be a happy hour for attendees to network.

Panels:

  • The Veteran Career Search: A discussion with veterans and military members exiting the service about their personal experience with the post-military career search.
  • The Military Transition Landscape: National experts from the Department of Labor and the United States Army will discuss the current military transition environment.
  • Best Practices: National employers will discuss their veteran and military recruitment and retention programs.
  • Innovative Approaches: Ochsner and the Louisiana Economic Development will discuss building and leveraging both public and private partnerships to access and recruit the military talent population.
  • Networking Happy Hour: Following the event please join the NextOp team and our panelist for drinks and connection.
