New Orleans Joins in Celebration of Fourth Annual National Science Appreciation Day

This Wednesday, March 26, states and cities across the United States join ScienceSaves to celebrate the lifesaving power of science

NEW ORLEANS — For the fourth year in a row, the Center for Inquiry’s (CFI) ScienceSaves program sponsored a nationwide campaign to recognize March 26 as National Science Appreciation Day. This year, more than two dozen mayors and governors have issued official proclamations in honor of the day, including New Orleans, Louisiana.

As of today, a bipartisan group of governors from twenty states and the mayors of Austin, Buffalo, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Orlando, and Washington, D.C. have issued proclamations, with more expected to come this week. National Science Appreciation Day 2025 will be celebrated in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wisconsin.
