Pontchartrain Conservancy, NOLA Ready Host Storm Aware & Prepare Event to Distribute Hurricane Supplies, Resources

Presented by Entergy, the family-friendly event will promote storm prep ahead of hurricane season

WHO: Pontchartrain Conservancy and NOLA Ready will host Storm Aware & Prepare, which is presented by Entergy.

WHAT: Storm Aware & Prepare

WHEN: Saturday, May 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHY: Presented by Entergy, this year’s Storm Sweep will include the first “Storm Aware and Prepare” event — a hurricane supply and information giveaway ahead of the 2022 hurricane season. Supplies residents can expect at the event include nonperishable food kits, solar lights and more. Partner organizations, including NOLA Ready, will be onsite to provide information and answer any questions for community members.

In addition to hurricane prep resources, this family-friendly event will also include coastal educational activities for adults and children. Creole Sneauxballs will also be on hand providing snowballs for purchase.

Additional partners include Second Harvest Food Bank, the City of New Orleans, Restore the Mississippi River Delta and All Hands All Hearts.
