NEW ORLEANS – The City of New Orleans today announced the final round of the Healthy Homes program. Registration is set to begin on Jan. 1, and the Healthy Homes administration will be offering information sessions over the month of December in preparation. These information sessions are aimed at ensuring that rental property owners have all of the information needed to apply for a Healthy Homes Certificate of Compliance.
At the conclusion of this final registration phase, all rental properties must be registered. Rental property owners must obtain a valid certificate of compliance in order to rent housing units.
We strongly encourage rental property owners to attend one of these sessions to learn about registration. The first two initial sessions are scheduled, as follows:
- Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. at the Algiers Regional Library, 3014 Holiday Dr.
- Friday, Dec. 6 at 2:30 p.m. at the New Orleans East Regional Library, 5641 Read Blvd.
Information sessions will include training for rental owners on the basics of the Healthy Homes program, including how to register rental properties with Healthy Homes and what to expect during the application review period.
Additional information sessions, including virtual sessions, will be added throughout the month. For updates, please subscribe here.
