City of New Orleans Department of Safety & Permits’ Healthy Homes Administration to Host Landlord Information Day

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans Department of Safety & Permits’ Healthy Homes Administration will host the first ever Landlord Information Day on Thursday, May 30 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Gernon Brown Recreation Center, 1001 Harrison Ave.

Aimed at providing information for rental property owners across the city, Landlord Information Day offers landlords an opportunity to learn the requirements of the Healthy Homes Ordinance, as well as how to register rental property with the City of New Orleans. Information about zoning and building compliance will also be available.

Several City departments and organizations will be tabling at the event to offer further resources and information, including:

  • Healthy Homes Administration
  • Department of Safety & Permits – Zoning Administration
  • Department of Code Enforcement
  • Office of Housing Policy and Community Development
  • New Orleans Health Department
  • Office of Resilience & Sustainability
  • New Orleans Historic District Landmarks Commission
  • New Orleans City Planning Commission
  • Housing Authority of New Orleans
  • Urban Conservancy
  • New Orleans Mosquito, Termite and Rodent Control Board
