Mentors needed for program supporting teenage girls
NEW ORLEANS — Operation Restoration (OR), a New Orleans-based organization founded to support justice-impacted women and girls, is actively recruiting mentors for its Operation Girls program that serves girls 10–17 who have been affected by incarceration. A Mentor Recruitment Mixer is planned for Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 6–9 p.m. at 4747 Earhart Boulevard, Suite B.
Operation Girls offers mentorship, academic support, financial literacy classes, cultural outings and other opportunities to empower participants in developing leadership and life skills. Anyone interested in the impact of mentorship can meet members of Operation Restoration’s team, as well as community, mental health and wellness partners who support Operation Girls.
The networking event provides a glimpse of the transformative value of mentorship in helping to make a difference in the lives of young girls. Anyone interested in attending can register in advance at Eventbrite.
