Boys Town Louisiana Launches ‘Hope for the Holiday’ Campaign

NEW ORLEANS — To support local youth and vulnerable families this holiday season, Boys Town Louisiana announces the Hope for the Holidays campaign.

While holidays are typically thought of as a happy time, vulnerable youth and families can find the season full of stress and worry. Through the Hope for the Holidays campaign, individuals, community groups and businesses can sponsor families and children for the giving season. Sponsors will be paired and provided a wish list of items.

“The holiday time is a perfect time to reflect on our own blessings and seek ways to brighten others lives with joy,” says Boys Town Louisiana Executive Director Rashain Carriere. “Every family and child deserves to feel special this time of year, and with this program we hope to extend that to all of the individuals and families we serve.”

The Hope for the Holidays campaign began in 2022 to provide youth living in Boy Town Louisiana’s Family Home with an extra sense of support. This year the program will be expanded to include families in additional community programs including Early Head Start and My Community Cares. Businesses and individuals can opt to participate by contacting program director Tosha Link at tosha.link@boystown.org.

Sponsors will be asked to purchase gifts for their assigned youth or family by early December and deliver to Boys Town Louisiana office at 300 N. Broad Street, Suite 106, New Orleans, LA 70119.
