NEW ORLEANS – Over the past month, BODYARMOR and ten local Boys & Girls Clubs partnered to create BODYARMOR Builds – an initiative aimed at supporting youth-oriented projects around the country.
Each Boys & Girls Club submitted two projects in need of improvement and with the support of Team BODYARMOR athletes, fans were encouraged to vote for the project they wanted BODYARMOR and their favorite athletes to help fund.
Launched on MLK Day, BODYARMOR Builds was so well received that BOTH youth-oriented projects submitted by each of the local Boys & Girls Clubs will now be funded!
In New Orleans, BODYARMOR worked with CAM JORDAN to help raise awareness for the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Louisiana – Westbank Unit which will now be able to support the following improvements:
- Repair the roof above the patio of the building
- Organization and upgrade of sports equipment and book room.
This week, BODYARMOR visited the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Louisiana – Westbank Unit for a check handout ceremony and to donate products so the kids and the staff can enjoy and stay hydrated.
Nationally, BODYARMOR will donate a total of $150,000 to cover the costs of bringing TWENTY projects to life!
Thousands of kids will benefit directly from this program for years to come in these communities.
