New Orleans Recreation Department Commission Announces Upcoming Career Fairs at NORD Centers

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission today announced the agency will host another round of career fairs on Friday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the Cutoff Rec Center and Saturday, Feb. 25, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the Milne Rec Center. The first career fair, held in January, attracted a quality pool of job seekers and resulted in three new hires.

“NORD looks forward to expanding its career fair locations to the Westbank and Gentilly communities as we continue to seek qualified candidates to join our team,” said NORD CEO Larry Barabino Jr. “The City of New Orleans provides essential, viable and stable career opportunities with living wages and healthy benefit packages. I encourage job seekers to visit one of the two fairs and come prepared to network and explore all NORD has to offer.”

NORD hiring managers will be conducting on-the-spot interviews for various permanent and seasonal positions from entry level to front line management. Interested participants must have work eligibility documents present, such as a passport or government issued ID, and a recent resume. All permanent positions require domicile in Orleans Parish.
