NEW ORLEANS — The FBI will open the application process for the Honors Internship Program beginning September 5, 2023, through September 20, 2023. College students receive a meaningful experience that demonstrates what the FBI has to offer and fosters a future talent pipeline that meets the FBI’s needs.
“The challenges of our world are greater than ever, and this program encourages the best and brightest on our college campuses to consider a rewarding, FBI career,” said Douglas A. Williams, Jr., special agent in charge of FBI New Orleans. “We need people from varied cultures, backgrounds, work, and educational experiences to help us continue the work of protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution.”
The Honors Internship Program is a 10-week, paid summer internship for undergraduate and graduate students. Participants work side-by-side with FBI employees at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., or one of our 56 field offices across the country. Each experience is unique.
Veterans are encouraged to apply. The FBI seeks applicants from a wide range of academic backgrounds including, but not limited to, accounting, foreign languages, information technology, criminal justice, journalism law, and all STEM programs. Competitive applicants are strong analytical thinkers, are flexible, take initiative, demonstrate good judgment, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, attend college full-time, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, pass all FBI background investigation requirements, and meet additional requirements.
