Holiday Blitzen’s Bar Returns to Omni Royal Orleans

NEW ORLEANS – The Rib Room at Omni Royal Orleans invites guests and locals to step into a festive wonderland with the return of Blitzen’s Bar from Nov. 28 to Jan. 9. The beloved holiday pop-up returns for its second season within the Omni Hotels & Resorts collection, transforming the iconic French Quarter bar promenade with over-the-top holiday décor and a joyful, festive atmosphere.

Open to the public, Blitzen’s will serve up cocktails crafted by mixologist, author and “Drink Masters” judge Julie Reiner, owner of New York City favorites Clover Club, Milady’s and Leyenda. The menu features eight seasonal cocktails, a zero-proof mocktail and rich hot chocolate (with the option to make it boozy), all paired with festive holiday snacks—the perfect recipe for holiday cheer.

Signature cocktails include The Blitzen (Woodford Reserve Rye, Liquid Alchemist Ginger/Apple Spice Syrup, angostura bitters, served in a holiday ornament), Sleigh Ride (Grey Goose Vodka, Italicus, lime, Cheeky Cranberry Syrup and soda water, served with light-up ice cubes and garnished with cranberries), Espres-Ho Ho Ho Martini (Don Julio Reposado Tequila, Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, simple syrup and espresso, garnished with a mini Moon Pie) and Naughty or Spice (Old Forester 86 Bourbon, Lustau Palo Cortado Sherry, Liquid Alchemist Pumpkin Syrup, lemon juice and angostura bitters), alongside a rotating selection of other seasonal creations.

Snack options include Reindeer Fuel (smoked maple-chili nut and pretzel crunch), Miso Tinsel (an umami holiday mix) and Choco Sleigh Ride (dark chocolate pistachio cream bark), among other festive treats.

Guests looking to extend their holiday experience can book Santa’s Landing Suite with an option for a connecting, additional room, decked out with cozy holiday décor, twinkling lights and a sprinkle of North Pole magic.
