METAIRIE – Ochsner Health has announced upcoming community vaccination events in the Greater New Orleans area for the week of June 1. Ochsner is working to meet people where they are by bringing vaccination opportunities to accessible locations and neighborhoods through these events.
Appointments are required, but walk-ups will be accommodated as supply allows.
Ochsner staff will administer the Pfizer vaccine at all of this week’s vaccination sites. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine will also be available at the Jefferson Parish Government Building, both East and West Bank locations, on Wednesday and Thursday.

Eligible community members in need of transportation assistance can receive a voucher for free Uber rides to vaccine sites, made possible by a partnership with Uber and the Greater New Orleans Foundation. Uber is providing more than 20,000 free rides to vaccination sites in the Greater New Orleans Area.
