NORD Seeks Participation From Residents for 2021 ‘Community Recreation and Leisure’ Survey

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) is seeking residents to participate in its 2021 recreation and leisure survey, which will assist in program planning, improving facilities, and engaging residents.

NORD is administering the survey to track and measure recreation and leisure activities that interest the city’s residents and is asking for residents to complete the survey between now and June 14, 2021. The last time the survey was administered was in 2016. Survey results in 2016 yielded the planning and completion of the following community recreation and leisure projects: outdoor fitness programming along the Lafitte Greenway, ACT Prep Program, a new senior community center opening summer 2021, and walking paths built at community parks across the city.

New Orleans offers many recreation and leisure activities throughout the city and this survey aims to collect feedback from the community about activities residents already enjoy, other services NORD should offer, and scheduling options for recreation and leisure activities. All responses are completely anonymous, and the results of this survey will be used by NORD for planning purposes only.
