NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans today announce their fourth annual turkey giveaway, hosted by the Mayor’s Neighborhood Engagement Office (NEO). The Neighborhood Cares Turkey Giveaway is a community initiative to help Orleans Parish families prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Residents can either walk-up or drive-up to get their turkey. Please note, one turkey will be provided per household until supplies last. Turkeys and fixings available on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents are asked to enter on Philip Street and Oretha Castle Haley Blvd.
Mayor LaToya Cantrell and NEO are proud to partner with District B Councilmember Lesli Harris, United Healthcare, Peoples Health, and Second Harvest for this initiative.
