Taxpayers have until February 28 to submit payments
NEW ORLEANS – The City of New Orleans Bureau of Treasury today announced that 2025 property tax bills are now available. Homeowners in Orleans Parish can access their tax bills online at https://nola.gov/find-tax-bill. Residents will receive mailed tax bills by the end of January.
Taxpayers have until February 28 to submit payments before interest begins accruing at a rate of 1 percent per month.
The Bureau of Treasury offers several convenient payment options to make the payment process easier.
Available payment options include:

Mail-in payment with the scannable bill stub using the enclosed envelope
- Accepted forms of payment: Check, money order, or cashier’s check (Cash not accepted)
2. Paying online through the City’s website at www.nola.gov
- No convenience fee charged when using a checking account (E-check)
- Credit or debit card use is available
- A 2.49 percent processing fee will be added
- Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Payment is posted effective the authorize bank payment date
- Only payments of the entire tax bill are accepted on the website
3. Drop-off is available at the following public library locations on Wednesday, Feb. 26, Thursday, Feb. 27, and Friday, Feb. 28

- East New Orleans Regional Library (5641 Read Blvd.)
- Norman Mayer Library (3001 Gentilly Blvd.)
- Mid-City Library (4140 Canal St.)
- Algiers Regional Library (3014 Holiday Dr.)
Accepted forms of payment:
- Check, money order, or cashier’s check (NO CASH)
- Be sure to include the bill stub and indicate both the property address and the tax bill number
- No receipt will be provided
City of New Orleans employees will be available onsite at each drop-off location for assistance from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Payments must be submitted in a sealed envelope containing no more than three property tax stubs and payments.
Cash will not be accepted, and receipts will not be provided.
Curbside drop-off is available at City Hall (1300 Perdido Street) on Wednesday, Feb. 26 Thursday, Feb. 27, and Friday, Feb. 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
