Waitr Offering Free Delivery in New Orleans in Preparation for Possible Hurricane Ida

NEW ORLEANS – While preparations are underway in anticipation of Ida hitting the state, Louisiana-based Waitr is making it easy for anyone in New Orleans looking for food delivery. Waitr is offering free delivery to anyone in the area who’s unable to get to their favorite restaurant – or those just wanting to stay at home – before the potential arrival of the storm.

Effective immediately, anyone using the app before the storm can get their food delivered free by using the promo code “STAYSAFE” at checkout. Waitr also offers no-contact delivery on all restaurant orders for enhanced safety for drivers and customers.

Waitr will continue normal business operations, weather permitting. Should the need arise for Waitr to suspend service, an alert will be issued.

Waitr operates an online ordering technology platform, providing delivery, carryout and dine-in options. Waitr, along with Bite Squad and Delivery Dudes, connect local restaurants and grocery stores to diners in underserved U.S. markets. Together, they are a convenient way to discover, order and receive great food and other products from local restaurants, national chains and grocery stores. As of June 30, 2021, Waitr, Bite Squad and Delivery Dudes operate in small and medium-sized markets in the United States in over 900 cities.
