Restaurant Week Updates from New Orleans Restaurants

NEW ORLEANS – This week is the annual Restaurant Week from New Orleans & Co. For one week in June, diners can find curated menus from local restaurants. A few restaurants have shared their plans with us to make scheduling this week easy. To see everyone participating click here.

Commons Club:

Commons Club will offer a delicious brunch and dinner menu during Restaurant Week. Priced at $29 per person (excluding tax and gratuity), the three-course prix fixe brunch menu will feature a starter choice of Avocado Toast with sunflower seed tahini, shaved vegetable salad, sprouts and seeds, and sourdough bread; or Little Gem Salad with citrus, fennel, radishes, hearts of palm, and avocado green goddess dressing. Second course options include a Bagel Plate with Creole tomato, whipped cream cheese, red onion, cucumber, fried capers, and dill; Fried Egg Sandwich with English muffin, bacon, cheddar cheese, fermented chili aioli, and a side salad; and Gulf Shrimp and Grits – New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp, andouille, stone ground grits corn, and Worcestershire sauce. End your meal with the Sweet Potato Buttermilk Drop Doughnut with marshmallow fluff brûlé, toasted pecan, and maple glaze.

For dinner, enjoy a three-course prix fixe menu for $49 per person (excluding tax and gratuity). Relish in choice of Nettle Toast with burrata, pine nuts, morel mushroom and fennel pollen; Tempura Fried Asparagus with whipped green goddess ricotta, and everything spice; Spaghetti and Meatballs – pappardelle pasta, veal meatballs, fava beans, porcini madeira, and parmesan; Roasted Half Chicken with pomegranate glaze, green chickpea puree, cress eggplant, sumac, and pistachio; Wild Mushrooms with gumbo z’herbes, spring greens, brassica, and puffed rice; Cheesecake Mousse with blackberry curd, peaches, and lace cookie; and Apricot Bread Pudding with hibiscus syrup, saffron, and ginger cardamom cream cheese.

Osteria Lupo:

Enjoy authentic Northern Italian cuisine at  Osteria Lupo during Restaurant Week. Participating for the second year, the restaurant will offer a four-course family style tasting menu for $65 per person (excluding tax and gratuity). Full table participation is required; dishes will vary based on the number of people in the party, but tasting includes all dishes. Antipasti include Burrata con Panna with pistachio, aged balsamic, and grilled focaccia; Crawfish Arancini with pickled pepper aioli and green onion; and Pesce Crudo with gulf fish, tomato walnut pesto and lemon; Pastas and Pizza include Diavola Pizza with spicy’nduja, jalapeno and fontina; Campanelle with porcini, shiitake, and oyster mushroom ragu; and Spaghetti alla Chitarra with Maine lobster, trebbiano and jalapeno. Contorni (side dishes) include Redfish with fennel, charred cipollini, olives, and chillies; Hanger Steak with salsa verde and crispy potatoes; and Grilled Lamb Rack with wood-fired zucchini, pistachio and mint. Dessert options include Torta Caprese e Pistachio with chocolate sauce, and orange blossom gelato; and Lemon Ricotta Cake with blueberry compote, sfoglia, and blueberry whip.

Tujague’s:

The second-oldest restaurant in New Orleans, Tujague’s will feature a three-course prix fixe menu for $46 per person (excluding tax and gratuity). The menu will be available during dinner service along with the regular a la carte menu. Start with a Wedge Salad – iceberg lettuce, buttermilk dressing, applewood smoked bacon, onions, tomatoes, and crumbled bleu cheese; or Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. Main dish options include Seafood Pasta with Gulf shrimp, Louisiana crawfish tails, arugula, tomatoes, leeks in a seafood velouté tossed with pappardelle and flash fried oysters; Pan Seared Pork Tournedos with country dirty rice, spicy apple chutney, and rosemary-creole mustard demi glace; and Grilled Filet Mignon – 6oz filet of beef, dauphine potatoes, roasted carrots, caramelized onion, and sauce au poivre. Satisfy your sweet tooth with the choice of Blueberry Cobbler with spiced crumble topping and vanilla bean ice cream or Creme Brulee.

The Bower:

The Bower will offer visitors a three-course prix fixe menu for $49 per person (excluding tax and gratuity). First course dishes include options of Whipped Feta with house pickles, and grilled baguette; Chicken Liver Mousse with hot honey cured farm egg yolks, mustard seeds, and herbed lavash; and Crispy Octopus with new potatoes, smoky aioli, and sweet summer onions. Second course options include Basil Spaghetti with pesto, burrata, preserved lemon, and oven dried cherry tomatoes; Scallopswith buttered peas, butternut squash, pancetta, lemon, capers, and mint; and

Paneed Pork with charred corn, spicy summer peppers, lime, green onion, queso fresco, and avocado buttermilk dressing. For dessert, enjoy the choice of Flourless Chocolate Torte with mascarpone, caramel, and sea salt; or Pavlova with watermelon curd, lime and berries.

Plates:

With a regular menu featuring shareable dishes, Plates Restaurant and Bar is the perfect place to celebrate Restaurant Week with a big group of friends. The Executive Chef and Co-owner, Farrell Harrison has created a delectable four-course family style tasting menu featuring signature items like Patatas BravasWild Mushroom Toast and Crispy Coq Au Vin that pairs beautifully with their creative cocktails.

Restaurant R’evolution:

If you’re looking for more upscale dining, Chef John Folse’s Restaurant R’evolution featuring a four-course menu for $75 per person is not to be missed and includes dishes such as Short Rib Boudain, Lobster Onion Bisque and Grilled Redfish Bienville.

Criollo:

For more casual fare, the team at Criollo – located in the Hotel Monteleone – has created a fantastic two-course menu for $25/person. Guests can enjoy options like Panzanella SaladGrilled Lemon Fish and Eggplant Involtini.

Desire Oyster Bar:

Located in The Royal Sonesta New Orleans, Desire Oyster Bar is offering a menu featuring Louisianan classics including Chicken and Sausage GumboShrimp N’ Grits and Praline Cheesecake. Guests have the option to choose from two courses for $30 or three courses for $45.
