NEW ORLEANS – Copeland’s of New Orleans announced the completion of significant renovations at its original location, a part of the community since its opening in November 1983. The over 9000-square-foot building underwent $1.5 million in renovations, marking the fourth transformative redesign of the company’s locations over the past two years, following successful updates in Kenner, Covington and Slidell.
The recent renovations honor the restaurant’s rich history while introducing a modern New Orleans courtyard feel and a refreshed ambiance. Enhanced amenities now cater to the diverse needs of its patrons. The redesign includes improved lighting; completely new furniture, plateware, glassware and uniforms; further enhancing the dining experience with a fresh, polished look that complements the updated space.
The location introduces new private dining rooms, accommodating groups of 20 to 60 guests. These rooms are perfect for celebrations of all sizes, from corporate meetings and high school dances to family gatherings and luncheons. Every building surface has been refreshed, including extensive renovations to the parking lot, providing guests with added convenience and a seamless experience from start to finish.
Loyal guest Christopher Prieur shared his long-standing connection to the restaurant in a release about the renovations, saying, “Copeland’s has been part of my family’s dining tradition since the ‘80s! We’ve enjoyed the reasonably priced food and hospitality for decades and still visit at least once a week. The food is great, and the welcoming atmosphere makes it our favorite place to dine. It truly feels like home.”
“This renovation is something truly special,” said Al Copeland Jr. “It’s not just about updating a building; it’s about honoring the legacy of where it all began. This location holds a deep personal connection for me—it’s where I had my rehearsal dinner with my wife 41 years ago, just a month after the restaurant opened. Seeing it revitalized to continue creating memories for future generations is incredibly meaningful.”
The newly renovated original Copeland’s location invites long-time patrons and new guests to experience its refreshed atmosphere. With updated interiors, modernized facilities, and thoughtful additions, Copeland’s continues its tradition of delivering exceptional cuisine and service, ready to create countless new memories for every guest.
Copeland’s Clearview will host its first wine dinner since the renovation, “Cheers to New Beginnings: Jackson Family Wine Dinner,” on Jan. 16. Tickets will be available on CopelandsClearview.com.
