Jose Cuervo Tradicional Commits Up To $115K To Son of a Saint With Second Annual Give-Back Cocktail Program 

JERSEY CITY, N.J. Beginning today, Jose Cuervo is once again bringing together the New Orleans community through an initiative sure to lift spirits with its second annual cocktail give-back program. The world’s #1 tequila is teaming up with beloved New Orleans restaurants, bars and retailers to support the local non-profit, Son of a Saint, in furthering its mission of mentoring New Orleans residents and helping their communities grow and prosper.  

From now through the end of the year, when New Orleans patrons order a SONNY’S MARGARITA, a specialty crafted cocktail featuring Jose Cuervo® Tradicional®, a portion of the proceeds, up to $50K, will be donated to the non-profit. The SONNY’S MARGARITA was first introduced to New Orleans in the give-back initiative last year. Jose Cuervo’s involvement and donation exceeding $75K was critical in assisting the non-profit’s growth to support 200 mentees, their highest enrollment in the organization’s 11-year history. Named after Son of a Saint’s CEO, the signature drink is made as a classic margarita created with Jose Cuervo Tradicional where each bar or restaurant can add their own unique twist. 

New Orleans participating bars and restaurants in the 2022 program include Felipe’s Mexican Taqueria, Sofia Nola, The Ruby Slipper Cafe, and Windsor Court Hotel. This year, Jose Cuervo is leveling up the stakes for participation as New Orleans residents can also get involved when making their own Cuervo cocktail at home. With every bottle of Tradicional purchased at local liquor retailers up to 15,000 bottles, the brand will contribute an additional $1 donation, allowing for a potential $115K total contribution from the Jose Cuervo giveback program to the New Orleans community via Son of a Saint.
