Hyatt Regency New Orleans Partners with Oxbow Rum for Summer Rum Fest Menu

NEW ORLEANSHyatt Regency New Orleans is excited to share that it has partnered with Oxbow Estate Rum, a family-owned company that farms and distills premium rum in Pointe Coupée, Louisiana. Together, the two have created a new Summer Rum Fest Menu that combines their spirits with the Hyatt’s culinary creations. The featured menu showcases eleven cocktails, a burger, and a dessert, that all incorporate the Oxbow rums in a unique way.

Since 1859, generations of the Oxbow estate have grown sugarcane by the Mississippi River. The result is a 100% Grade A sugarcane molasses that is unfiltered with no sweeteners nor additives. Currently their portfolio includes Small Batch White Rum, Barrel Aged Straight Rum, and Rhum Louisiane Unaged Cane Juice Agricole. With more and more consumers wondering what is in the bottle, Oxbow boasts that every drop is made from scratch with the bright, smooth taste of sugarcane.

When cultivating a menu, Hyatt strives to uphold “thoughtfully sourced, carefully served.” In the pursuit of this, the Hyatt proudly offers food options that feature natural, local, and sustainable sources. This all starts by supporting communities by sourcing from local suppliers as well as sharing knowledge and actively supporting companies in our neighborhood like Oxbow Estate Rum.

“I was excited to discover Oxbow Rum was in our backyard and produced such a clean finish and natural rum made without sweeteners or additives,” said James Kratofil, Director of Food & Beverage. “Our team had a great time creating these specialty cocktails, including the Triple H. Hyatt Hibiscus Hurricane!”

The Summer Rum Fest Menu is available at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans all summer long, through Labor Day.
