Disco Inferno: “Drag Me to The Roosevelt” Drag Brunch July 29th

NEW ORLEANS – The heat is on this summer, as The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel hosts the latest installment of its “Drag Me to The Roosevelt” brunch series on July 29. The “Disco Inferno” themed drag brunch will feature a three-course meal, bottomless mimosas, a costume contest, 70s disco music and sizzling entertainment from New Orleans’ own Kitten N’ Lou and special guest performers.

Voted Best Duo by The Burlesque Hall of Fame, Kitten N’ Lou have headlined festivals including the Helsinki Burlesque Festival and Viva Las Vegas. Dazzling audiences across the globe with their signature brand of highly choreographed comedic camp extravaganzas, Kitten N’ Lou’s performances were described by Time OutNew York as “brilliantly deranged.” The pair made their television debut with Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett on the PBS Great Performances special “Cheek to Cheek” in 2014.

Guest performers burning up the dance floor at the Saturday afternoon brunch include some of the city’s most in-demand drag performers: “Grand Dame of the Damned” Tarah Cards, Jeez Loueez, known as the ”Honey Badger of Burlesque,” and Laveau Contraire, who won the 2020 FLAME award for Best Drag Queen.

Guests are encouraged to come dressed in full disco regalia to participate in a costume contest.
