NEW ORLEANS – The Riverwalk Outlets is celebrating the spooky season with Halloween Fest on Sunday, Oct. 23, from 4-8 p.m. This complimentary festival features trick-or-treat opportunities, spooktacular activities, Halloween-themed entertainment and an outdoor movie screening of “Hocus Pocus” for Riverwalk visitors.
“We are excited to offer our guests a family-friendly Halloween experience in downtown New Orleans,” said Yvette Gremillion-Watkins, general manager at Riverwalk Outlets. “Halloween Fest is a great opportunity for families to celebrate the spooky season the week before Halloween.”
The festivities begin at 4 p.m. in the Riverwalk’s food court with activities and entertainment, including face painting, costumed characters, jugglers, children’s story time, stilt walkers and more. The celebrations continue with trick-or-treating opportunities located throughout the mall and conclude outside in Spanish Plaza with a Movie Under the Stars, featuring fan-favorite Halloween movie “Hocus Pocus” playing at 6:30 p.m. Popcorn and cotton candy will be complimentary while supplies last and local vendors will also be onsite with tasty delights available for purchase throughout the evening. Costumes are highly encouraged at this event.
Gremillion-Watkins added, “This event is going to allow us to kick off the holiday season and showcase what the Riverwalk can offer community members and also visitors to New Orleans.”
