NEW ORLEANS – The Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery will celebrate White Linen Night on Saturday, Aug. 2, with a new exhibition in the hotel’s lobby level gallery, as well as its Chandlery. Where Y’Art Works, the New Orleans-based arts consulting company first partnered with Old No. 77 10 years ago, and since then has organized over 30 gallery shows at the hotel, featuring the work of local artists. The latest exhibition – Art of Flavor – will launch on Aug. 2 with a reception with the artists, features work of 30 artists, five of whom are new to the space. The opening night event takes place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and is free and open to the public to attend. In addition to an opportunity to meet many of the participating artists (listed below), guests can enjoy complimentary seasonally inspired libations and bites. White Linen Night is an annual event that takes place the first Saturday in August throughout the Warehouse District and Central Business District (CBD), concentrated along Julia Street which is known for its plethora of galleries. Attendees are encouraged to wear white linen and meander through the streets, enjoying live music, myriad art exhibits and activities, along with food and drink.
