METAIRIE — StormPrep 2024, presented by Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans (HBAGNO), offers a comprehensive event featuring expert speakers including government emergency response officials, interactive demonstrations, and essential resources to safeguard your home and family in preparation of the upcoming hurricane season.
Attendees will learn evacuation routes, emergency communication strategies, and how to create a disaster preparedness kit. Local contractors will demonstrate how to prepare your home prior to a storm and navigate the aftermath once it’s over. Also, attendees will learn about Wind Mitigation insurance discounts and Louisiana tax deductions for up to $5,000.
