“We look forward to providing a safe space for our friends, family and supporters to come together and celebrate music, a part of our community that has truly been missed during these hard times,” said Troy ‘Trombone Shorty’ Andrews. “We’re here to keep the music alive, but with safety as our top priority – whether celebrating in-person or streaming online, we want to provide a safe space for everyone to enjoy what makes this city so special.”

Headlined by Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue (who will take the stage at Tipitina’s for the first time since 2015), this year’s musical lineup features performances by Galactic with Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph, The Soul Rebels, Cuban sensation Cimafunk and special guests Tarriona “Tank” Ball and Big Chief Juan Pardo.

Founded by renowned New Orleans musician Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews in 2012, the Trombone Shorty Foundation inspires and uplifts the next generation of New Orleans musicians by developing their talent, educating them about the music business, and connecting them to the city’s unique music and cultural heritage. Now in its 9th year, the Trombone Shorty Foundation proudly contributes to this time-honored tradition of “passing it on.”

Galactic and Tipitina’s created the Tip-It Foundation in 2019 to support and promote the future of the Gulf South’s music, culture and heritage via the Tipitina’s venue and brand. The mission of the Tip-It Foundation is to elevate musical and cultural legacies through community outreach and education.
