BELLE CHASSE – The 21st Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival is set to return April 25-27 bringing a celebration of local seafood, culture, and community to the festival grounds at 333 F. Edward Hebert Blvd. in Belle Chasse.
Festival organizers share attendees can enjoy a variety of fresh, seafood prepared by local restaurants and organizations, including the Croatian American Society’s famous chargrilled oysters. In addition to the food, the festival will feature live music, carnival rides, local artisan crafts and the Oyster Drop Raffle. A 5K race kicks off the festivities on Friday at 5:30 p.m., and families can enjoy a dedicated kids’ tent on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
“For 21 years, the Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival has celebrated the heart and soul of our community—our people, our culture, and our world-class seafood,” said Dondra Kientz, Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival event coordinator. “Each year, we strive to make it even better, bringing together incredible food, live music, and family-friendly fun. We invite everyone to join us for a weekend that truly showcases what makes Plaquemines Parish special.”
