NORD to Host Annual Special Needs Sneaker Ball

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission is proud to present the Annual Special Needs Sneaker Ball on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Joe W. Brown Gymnasium, located at 5601 Read Blvd. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is designed to provide individuals with special needs and their families with an inclusive evening of music, dancing, and community fun. The host of the evening will be Songstress Casme.

Guests are encouraged to dress up in formal attire with their favorite sneakers, combining elegance with comfort in a welcoming and festive environment. The Annual Special Needs Sneaker Ball is part of NORD Commission’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that recreational and cultural experiences are accessible to everyone.

“At NORD, we strive to create opportunities where everyone can feel included and celebrated,” said Larry Barabino Jr, CEO of NORD. “This event is a highlight of the year, giving individuals with special needs and their families a night to shine, express themselves, and enjoy a fantastic evening together.”
