Mardi Gras Mitzva Makers Parade February 2nd at Touro

NEW ORLEANS – The goal of Mardi Gras Mitzva Makers Parade is to bring Mardi Gras to patients in long-term care and rehabilitation who likely will not be able to experience Carnival. Mitzva means “good deed” and this organization annually brings Mardi Gras to Touro Hospital patients and nearby LAUREL Senior Living Facility on Aline Street.

Open to the public. Those attending as marchers are urged to come in costume, bring beads and throws. All musicians also welcomed and encouraged to bring their instrument to bring a bigger and better parade!
