NEW ORLEANS – The LCMC Health St. Patrick’s Day Classic is back for its 11th annual running. On Sunday, March 16, the luck of the Irish will be with runners and walkers from all over Louisiana competing in the two-mile run. Participants will experience a parade-like atmosphere with crowds cheering as they complete the course.
The race will give runners their final chance to qualify at the two-mile distance for the upcoming LCMC Health Crescent City Classic 10K on Saturday, April 19. Runners who complete the race in under 16 minutes can use their St. Patrick’s Day Classic results as a qualifier for a seeded starting corral when registering for the 2025 CCC10K.
The LCMC Health St. Patrick’s Day Classic race will begin at 10 a.m. on the Metairie Road St. Patrick’s Day parade route. The race begins at Gennaro’s Bar located at 3200 Metairie Rd., proceeds down Metairie Road and finishes at Frisco Avenue. A post-race party will take place immediately following the race at Winston’s Pub and Patio, which is located at 531 Metairie Rd.
Online registration for this year’s race is $30 until midnight on Saturday, March 8. The price increases to $35 on Sunday, March 9. Interested race participants can register by visiting https://runsignup.com/stpatsclassic. Race day registration will be available for $35 inside Gennaro’s Bar.
