NEW ORLEANS — Krewe de Pink Prom is a fun-filled prom night for adults organized by Krewe de Pink, a local, all-volunteer, non-profit. The purpose of the event is to raise funds to support breast cancer research at Tulane Cancer Research and provide a space for survivors, supporters and their friends and family to celebrate their victories over the disease. Krewe de Pink’s annual Prom takes place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Generations Hall in New Orleans, LA.
Dressed in their favorite Prom styles or pink bling, attendees will enjoy a night of live music, a unique auction, fun raffles, a dance performance and a special tribute highlighting Breast Cancer Survivors who attend the event. This year’s theme is “Pretty In Pink”, so harness all your John Hughes, Gen X loving vibes. For many, this is a chance to relive or reinvent prom night by taking Prom photos and dancing the night away in the spacious and beautiful Generations Hall. New Orleans’ own Crescent City Soul will keep the dance floor full with Disco, Funk, Jazz, Motown, R&B, Salsa, and more from the 1960’s to present-day.
This adult (21 & older) Prom night is an open bar event with heavy hors d’oeuvres. The Krewe de Pink Prom auction has a variety of items to bid on including New Orleans Staycation packages, jewelry, artwork and one-of-a-kind hand decorated costume bras. Raffle prizes include a wine barrel, a beer bucket, a Lotto ticket bundle and there will even be a chance to win the title of Krewe de Pink Prom Queen or King 2024!
The Pussyfooters will show their support for the cause with a special performance and a Breast Cancer Survivors promenade will take place honoring survivors present during the event. Those who attend are in for a unique and memorable experience while making a difference for the cause. Krewe de Pink Prom directly supports breast cancer research at Tulane Cancer Center.
