Jefferson Parish Back to School Fair & Fun Fest Saturday, August 5th

JEFFERSON – Jefferson Parish Councilman Byron L. Lee of District 3, in partnership with the Louisiana Department of Health’s (LDH) Region 1 Office of Public Health (Greater New Orleans Area), will host a Back to School Fair & Fun Fest on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Johnny Jacobs Playground, located at 5851 5th Ave. in Marrero.

“We are thrilled to host a Back to School Fair & Fun Fest to provide additional resources to families in our community as the start of the new school year approaches,” said Councilman Lee. “I would like to thank LDH’s Region 1 Office of Public Health for helping us put together this very special event.”

The Back to School Fair & Fun Fest will include a health and resource fair, free school supplies, haircuts, raffles, kids games, food, vaccinations, health screenings, WIC services, Martial Arts, and more. There will be available information and resources from participating Jefferson Parish departments and many partner organizations, including resources from Acadian AmbulanceJefferson Parish LibrariesJeffCAP Head Start and JPRD.
