NEW ORLEANS — The Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans is hosting its annual Reel Builders Fishing Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 30 at sunrise at Island Marina at Lake Catherine.
Following a fun day of fishing, guests will be treated to a Shrimp Boil, sponsored by Louisiana Seafood, featuring an awards ceremony, and a DJ afterparty by Party-Tyme Productions. Complimentary beer/soda and featured brews from Port Orleans Brewing and Tasting Room will be provided.
A portion of this year’s proceeds will be donated to Wish to Fish, Louisiana. Wish to Fish offers children and families the opportunity to learn about boating skills and safety, encourage parent/child interaction, and more.
WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 30 | Tournament starts at sunrise (sign-in: 5:30-7:30 a.m.)
Awards and Shrimp Boil: 3:00-5:00 p.m.

ENTRY FEE: $75 individual (includes t-shirt, shrimp boil, and DJ afterparty)
$225 per team (maximum of 3 team members per team)
Entry fees MUST be submitted by 12 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29.
NO registrations will be allowed on the day of the event.
Weigh-in will be at the Island Marina on Lake Catherine between 1:30 and 3:00 p.m.
Participants must check in with registration before weigh-in. In case of a waiting line for final weigh-in, any participant in line who has notified the Weigh Master prior to 3:00 p.m. will be eligible.
PRIZES: $5,000 in prizes, sponsored by M&M Glass, will be awarded in the following categories:
$1,000 Largest Redfish (NO BULL REDS)
$1,000 Largest Trout
$3,000 Largest Stringer (3 trout, 2 redfish)
