NEW ORLEANS – District “B” Councilmember Lesli Harris will host her first Housing Resource Fair and School Supply Giveaway on Aug. 3 at the Dryades YMCA, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
The Housing Resource Fair and School Supply Giveaway will provide accessible information on affordable housing initiatives and measures while distributing free educational supplies for local students. Community members can expect to connect with real estate, government, hospitality and financial leaders from the following organizations:

“With increasing rents and lack of job opportunities, it has been a critical priority of mine to ensure all New Orleanians have access to safe, affordable housing. My Housing Resource Fair will allow constituents to learn more about the work and solutions created to curb the housing crisis in the Gulf South,” said Councilmember Harris. “I am also excited to engage with parents and students preparing for the upcoming school year.”
