NEW ORLEANS – City Park Conservancy (CPC) is throwing a party for its VIFs – Very Important Friends.
Friends’ Fest, CPC’s membership-appreciation event, returns to Carousel Gardens Amusement Park and Storyland on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Friends with an active membership will enjoy free access to Amusement Park rides, refreshments from Elmer’s CheeWees, Haydel’s Bakery, Dippin’ Dots/Big Easy Treats, Coca-Cola, Raising Cane’s and more from 6-9 p.m.
“We love being able to feature our Friends with this incredible, exclusive event,” said CPC Membership Manager Kristen Brooks. “Thanks to their kind contributions, our members make City Park the special place that it is, and Friends’ Fest is our opportunity to give back to those who give so much!”
Friends’ Fest began in 2009 as a token of appreciation for those who give so kindly to the Park throughout the year. The annual event has grown into one of the most-anticipated evenings of the season for Friends and their families.
Though the event is free, reservations are required to attend Friends’ Fest. To register, friends must have active proof of membership – the number of guests allotted is outlined by membership level. To renew your membership, or register for Friends’ Fest, visit NewOrleansCityPark.org.
“City Park is the gem of New Orleans, and Friends of City Park ensure it stays shining,” said CPC Board Member and Membership Chair Tania Hahn. “Sure, you get great perks – like admission to Friends’ Fest – for joining, but you also get the knowledge that you’re making a difference.”
Friends of City Park is CPC’s principal membership program that seeks to connect Park-loving individuals and community minded organizations. Friends support critical preservation, beautification, and capital-improvement projects of CPC, plus enjoy plentiful perks within the Park.
