Bourbon Pub & Parade Celebrates Southern Decadence

NEW ORLEANSBourbon Pub & Parade will be the hotspot to celebrate Southern Decadence with an impressive lineup of surprise guests, celebrity appearances and nonstop partying. Noted as the largest LGTBQ+ event in New Orleans, Bourbon Pub & Parade celebrates five days of queer culture and preeminent events during Southern Decadence, the pinnacle of New Orleans’ gay cultureThis Labor Day weekend will transform the French Quarter with parties throughout the city culminating in a colorful parade on Sunday.

Bourbon Pub & Parade is hosting numerous events from Thursday through Monday for the public (cover charge at the door) including performances from the Decadence Go Go Dancers and Live DJs downstairs in the pub daily. The balcony will be open to the public everyday at 12 p.m. with dazzling nightly shows. VIP Passes are available to buy at bourbonpub.com with special offerings including a special guest appearance from Billy Porter on Sunday, Sept. 1.

  • Tony Award-winning performer Billy Porter will be making an appearance at Bourbon Pub on Sunday, Sept. 1, at the VIP Pass Holder event, and is available for photo opportunities.
  • Legendary owner and founder of Bourbon Pub & Parade, Sandy Sachs will be available to discuss the historical role that Bourbon Pub & Parade has had in New Orleans, Southern Decadence, and her legacy in the LGTBQ+ community.

WHY: Southern Decadence launches a year-long commemoration of Bourbon Pub & Parade’s 50th anniversary, which will culminate in a large-scale celebration this fall, highlighting the venue’s renown queer culture, business legacy, voice for the LGBTQ+ community and historical significance on the American stage.
