Beat The Heat in August with The Return of Art & A/C

NEW ORLEANS – Escape the heat in August with the return of Art & A/C courtesy of The Helis Foundation! Every Saturday in August, Louisiana residents receive free general admission to several of New Orleans’ cultural institutions including Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans (CAC), Ogden Museum of Southern Art (Ogden), and New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA). Sweet treats and giveaways will be given away on select days! Art & A/C officially begins Saturday, August 5th.

“Art & A/C is a unique way to explore one of the many creative aspects in the city of New Orleans,” says Jessie Schott Haynes, Managing Director of The Helis Foundation. “An extension of Art For All, this program provides every Louisiana resident the opportunity to enjoy these amazing cultural resources during some of the hottest days of summer.”

Art For All, also funded by The Helis Foundation, gives Louisiana residents free general admission on select days year-round to the aforementioned institutions in addition to New Orleans Botanical Garden and Louisiana Children’s Museum. The Helis Foundation makes the arts accessible to the New Orleans community through these and other initiatives including Unframedthe first multi-mural exhibition of large-scale artwork in Downtown New Orleans, and Poydras Corridor Sculpture Exhibition, the south’s leading public rotating sculpture exhibition with 14 sculptures from esteemed local and international artists spanning Poydras Street between Convention Center Boulevard and South Galvez.

Art & A/C takes place on August 5, 12, 19, and 26. For more visit
