NEW ORLEANS – Audubon Nature Institute’s Party for the Planet presented by Entergy is a series of virtual events and activities making a positive impact on the natural world. This year’s campaign will continue to focus on healthy habitats with three action areas: clean, create, and connect with nature.
The virtual festivities kick off during Earth Week on April 18 and run through June 27. Virtual events include taking action on Endangered Species Day, World Oceans Day, and Pollinator Week.
Families can virtually follow along with activities by tuning into Audubon’s social media channels to discover imaginative new ways to experience nature, create healthy habitats, and help neighbors, big and small, from home.
“Even virtually, we can come together to celebrate our natural world and learn more about how to protect it,” said Entergy New Orleans Vice President of Customer Service Sandra Diggs-Miller. “Party for the Planet supports Entergy’s longtime commitment to environmental responsibility by providing families with fun and creative ways to help make a positive impact on the environment.”
The virtual Party for the Planet presented by Entergy series includes:
- Party for the Planet presented by Entergy: Earth Week: April 18-24
- Party for the Planet presented by Entergy: Endangered Species Week: May 16-22
- Party for the Planet presented by Entergy: World Oceans Week: June 6-12
- Party for the Planet presented by Entergy: Pollination Celebration Week: June 21-27
During Earth Week, April 18-24, visit Audubon Zoo and receive an eco-friendly goody bag to continue taking action to make a positive impact on the natural world (while supplies last).
This series is supported by Entergy’s Environmental Initiatives Fund, which directs $1 million annually to environmental improvement projects. Party for the Planet is part of Entergy’s recognition of the 51st anniversary of Earth Day.
