NEW ORLEANS – The weather may be heating up, but so are the deals at Carousel Gardens.
The New Orleans City Park Amusement Park – featuring 18 attractions, two cafés and excitement for all ages – extends its operating hours for the summer season starting May 29. The weekend prior, City Park Conservancy is showing appreciation to all U.S. military by offering free single-day tickets to the Amusement Park and Storyland from Saturday, May 25 – Monday, May 27.
“We are thrilled, and proud, to be starting summer by recognizing our military members,” said City Park Conservancy Assistant Director of Recreational Services Megan Bourgault. “We hope service members far and wide take advantage of this opportunity as we love seeing the space packed with happy families. It’s the best way to kick off the season.”
The Memorial Day Weekend offer extends to active, retired, veteran, reserve and National Guard members. Service members also have the option to purchase up to six discounted tickets for their loved ones to enjoy during the weekend. Military members must book their tickets in advance and present valid U.S. military ID at the front gate.
Starting Wednesday, May 29, weekdays – or Summer Saver Days – at Carousel Gardens will include a lineup of Amusement Park classics at a reduced rate. Guests can experience the iconic Ladybug Rollercoaster, Umbrella Cars, Historic Wooden Carousel, City Park Train plus Storyland for just $15. Weekends will feature the full slate of slides and rides for $25 per person; $15 per chaperone/senior. Further discounts available for Friends of City Park Members; admission is free for Carousel Gardens Season Passholders and guests under 36”.
City Park Conservancy is partnering with local nonprofits that provide social services to underserved residents of Louisiana through its Community Tickets Program. Eligible organizations include educational, religious, government, and community agencies. Tickets will provide complimentary Amusement Park entry with unlimited ride access.
