Young Audiences Charter Schools to Host Hispanic Heritage Parade on Oct. 3rd

NEW ORLEANS – Young Audiences Charter School (YACS) at Lawrence D. Crocker, an open-enrollment, arts-integrated school serving grades PK4-8 in Uptown New Orleans, will host a Hispanic Heritage Parade in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Students will proudly represent various Latin American countries by wearing colors, t-shirts, traditional attire, or other cultural symbols. The event will feature lively music, dance performances, art exhibits, and more. Parade attendees are encouraged to line the sidewalk and join in celebrating our Hispanic students and community.

WHEN:        Thursday, Oct. 3, from 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

WHERE:       Young Audiences Charter School (YACS) at Lawrence D. Crocker
2301 Marengo St., New Orleans, LA

The parade route will start at the school and circle the four-block perimeter bordered by Lasalle, Marengo, General Taylor, and S. Liberty Streets.

The parade is free and open to the public.
