NEW ORLEANS — Ready to discover how creativity and science come together this Mardi Gras season? STEM NOLA invites students in grades K-12 to a unique STEM Saturday on February 15th, 2025 from 9 AM to 12:30 PM at the Andrew P. Sanchez Center (1616 Caffin Ave, New Orleans, LA). This exciting, FREE event will explore the intersection of art, culture, and STEM, with a special focus on Mardi Gras traditions.
The Art & STEM of Mardi Gras STEM Saturday will provide a hands-on learning experience, allowing students to engage with interactive STEM activities and discover how science plays a role in the creativity of Mardi Gras. Students will have the opportunity to explore the design of costumes, floats, and other cultural aspects of Mardi Gras through the lens of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
