NEW ORLEANS – On Saturday, Nov. 22, the marching krewe Dames de Perlage is hosting “Fall into Giving,” an event to fight food insecurity, help raise mental health awareness and to ensure our local blood banks stay strong. It is part of the krewe’s ongoing efforts to promote health and happiness in the New Orleans community.
Port Orleans Brewing is hosting the event, generously offering a “Pint for a Pint” to all donors. Adding to the fun is singer/songwriter Lynn Drury, bringing her NOLAmericana sound to the stage. The 50/50 raffle will benefit the Brett Thomas Doussan Foundation‘s work raising mental health awareness. And, the krewe is collecting non-perishable food in its pursuit to stock 16 community fridges around New Orleans twice a month.
