NEW ORLEANS – The team at PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans (PJ’s Coffee) announced PJ’s locations across the country will reserve a table in memorial of fallen, missing, or imprisoned military service members on Memorial Day. Stores coast-to-coast will participate in the honor and will pay tribute to active and veteran U.S. service members, as well as military family members who lost a loved one, with special in-store and online promotions.
“The PJ’s Coffee family is made up of several veterans, from our corporate office to franchisees and employees, and we are committed to continuing to support U.S. veterans and military service members,” says Peter Boylan, President of PJ’s Coffee and U.S. Army veteran.
“While we already have many successful military-focused programs and initiatives, our team is always thinking of new ways to support those who have served our great country,” says David Mesa, Chief Development Officer of Ballard Brands and Marine Corp Veteran.
Current members of U.S. military service, U.S. veterans, and family members of fallen, missing or imprisoned service members can use code “VETERAN” on the PJ’s Coffee mobile app for a complimentary 12oz PJ’s Coffee beverage of choice up to a value of $4.50. The special promotion is valid on Memorial Day, May 31, 2021.
PJ’s Coffee has a long history of supporting U.S. military service members.
The company is an International Franchise Association VetFran member, offering qualified veterans a 20 percent discount on the initial franchise fee.
The team at PJ’s recently awarded Angela Harmon, a veteran of the United States Airforce, as the winner of the company’s annual Veteran Franchise Giveaway. In its fourth year, the annual giveaway is an open call to U.S. veterans that provides one winner a free franchise license valued at $35,000. Harmon was chosen among numerous submissions and is expected to open a PJ’s Coffee location in Breckenridge, Colorado. The brand launched the franchise giveaway in 2017 and has since awarded free franchise licenses totaling nearly $150,000.
In 2020, PJ’s Coffee launched a partnership with Sodexo, the world’s leading provider of food services, to feature its coffee in select United States Marine Corps bases across the country, including 51 mess halls and 62 “brew stations,” within nine bases.
To commend the nation’s active duty and retired military, PJ’s Coffee introduced “Sunrise Salute,” a medium roast coffee blend to benefit the Fisher House community. Earlier in 2020, PJ’s Coffee donated to Fisher House, a non-profit organization that supports military and veteran families.
Customers can enjoy a special “buy one get one” free offer on Memorial Day 2021 when purchasing the blend on www.pjscoffee.com.
Guests can download the new PJ’s Coffee mobile app to earn rewards, order ahead or utilize mobile pay options at select locations nationwide. The mobile app can be downloaded at www.pjscoffee.com/mobile-app.
