Louisiana organizations collecting donations for SWLA Economic Development Alliance Foundation

Louisiana chambers and economic development organizations partner to collect donations for businesses impacted by Hurricane Laura.

NEW ORLEANS, LA – Seventeen Louisiana organizations are partnering to collect donations for the Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance Foundation, a 501-c-3 corporation. These efforts come days after Hurricane Laura devastated communities in southwest Louisiana.

The Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance is the umbrella organization of the Chamber SWLA, the SWLA Alliance Foundation, and the Southwest Louisiana Partnership for Economic Development. The Alliance is the regional leader for business and workforce development resulting in improved quality of life for all residents in the five parishes of Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jefferson Davis. 

Participating organizations include: The Asian Chamber of Louisiana, French American Chamber, Greater Hammond Chamber, Greater New Orleans, Inc., Gulf South LGBT Chamber, Hispanic Chamber of Louisiana, JEDCO, Jefferson Chamber, Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (LACCE), New Orleans Business Alliance, New Orleans Chamber, New Orleans Regional Black Chamber, Plaquemines Association of Business & Industry, River Region Chamber, St. Bernard Economic Development Foundation, St. Bernard Chamber, and St. Tammany Chamber.
