NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans today announced that business owners have until September 30 to enroll in the limited-time Business Personal Property Tax Payment Plan Program, which allows overdue balances to be paid in manageable monthly installments instead of all at once.
The Business Personal Property Tax Payment Plan Program is open to any business owner with a past-due Business Personal Property Tax balance incurred before July 1, 2025. Enrollment closes on September 30.
After that deadline, unpaid Business Personal Property Tax balances will be turned over to the Louisiana Office of Debt Recovery, which can collect through:
- Offsetting Louisiana state tax refunds
- Intercepting federal and state vendor payments
- Using outside collection agencies
- Levying bank accounts
- Garnishing wages
Business owners can act now by visiting https://nola-bpp-tax.promise-pay.com/.
Through the program, business owners can:
- Enroll online through a secure portal
- Pay Business Personal Property Tax balances over time with affordable monthly installments
- Track progress through a simple, user-friendly system
This program builds on the City’s commitment to offering flexible payment options. Earlier this year, the City introduced a limited-time payment plan program for overdue parking and traffic camera tickets, and in 2024, the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans launched payment plans for its customers.
The City is partnering with Promise, a trusted technology provider, to deliver a secure and easy-to-use enrollment process for business owners.
Don’t wait — enroll before September 30. To learn more and access the Business Personal Property Tax payment portal, visit https://nola-bpp-tax.promise-pay.com/ or nola.gov/treasury.
