NEW ORLEANS – On June 3 at 2 p.m., New Orleans Foodwear brand MR EATWELL will release a collaboration with internationally renowned beignet bakery, Cafe du Monde. MR EATWELL, founded by lrish Channel resident Matt Rebackoff, created a Cafe du Monde-branded line of apparel (Sweetsuits & Beignetees) and footwear (Sweetslides) for men and women.
“This one’s surreal for me. After I somehow landed the Crystal Collab 6 weeks after launching the brand, my first thought was ‘What’s my other dream New Orleans collab? Cafe du Monde, hands down.’ I love their food, and their branding, and everything about them. And then THEY reached out to ME about this! Mind = blown,” said MR EATWELL Founder Matt Rebackoff. “I wanted to do something fun, and ridiculously comfortable, and in my almost always humble opinion, I think we nailed it.”
“The entire Cafe Du Monde family is eager to celebrate the launch of this collaboration with MR EATWELL!”, said Cafe du Monde Buyer Emily Jaeger. “As a family-owned, local business we know the importance of supporting small businesses in our community and it has truly been a pleasure to work with Matt and make this happen.”
This collaboration is the latest for the food-inspired loungewear brand MR EATWELL, having previously launched lines with Crystal Hot Sauce and comedian Heather McMahan. 10% of all profits will go to House of Tulip, a nonprofit collective creating housing solutions for TGNC people in Louisiana.
