The Vintage New Orleans Sustainable Coffee Series with Artist Terrance Osborne

NEW ORLEANSThe Vintage New Orleans announced its Signature Louisiana Art Series, with an inaugural variety produced in partnership with local artist Terrance Osborne. This collaborative effort features previously unreleased artwork available for retail at The Vintage locations in New Orleans and Baton Rougethe artist’s gallery, for retail online, and all Fleurty Girl locations, including New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Mississippi. The new blend features a branded coffee retail bag designed by Osborne himself, connecting a legend in New Orleans culture with a deep, rich history of coffee in the Crescent City.

“We are so excited to bring this amazing partnership with Terrance to fruition,” said OnePack Hospitality Group CEO Bernard Stolberg. “Our micro-roasted coffee has already made a huge impression since its release in late September. Louisiana products are among the best in the world. Food and culture here are synonymous, and it simply makes sense to celebrate and honor that relationship in our own unique way.”

The Vintage signature coffee line starts with responsibly sourced and traceable green coffee, shipped back to New Orleans, where it is hand-roasted in small batches every day. Over 120 million people worldwide rely on coffee for their livelihoods, and 80% live in poverty despite the rising price of retail coffee. The Vintage participates in a first-of-its-kind Living Income Pricing initiative that ensures a sustainable livelihood for farmers beyond any certification program currently in practice. They place an emphasis on traceability and purchasing most coffees using living income pricing.

“New Orleans is a place of beauty and struggle. It’s important that we consider how we are interacting with each other and with the world around us,” said Osborne. “Sustainability and responsibility in our culture – whether that be art, music or food is essential. It’s about mindfulness. I am extremely proud to play a part in an initiative like this that is taking the time, doing the work and honoring New Orleans in the process.”

The line includes two flagship varieties: The Vintage Gold Blend (a breakfast mainstay) and The Vintage Espresso. Single origin specialty coffees include La Orquidea from Colombia, a lighter-roasted coffee with a citrus acidity and notes of chocolate, and the darker Asproguate single origin from Guatemala with creamy notes of brown sugar, chocolate, floral and honey. A third single origin from Ethiopia, Sidamo, is the lightest mixed variety with notes of berry, green tea, florals and chocolate.  Other releases include Santa Luicia Reserve from Honduras, Ethipoia Yirgacheffe and upcoming Nicaragua release from a small family farm with local ties to the New Orleans community.

“We are thrilled to debut this series at all Fleurty Girl locations, across New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Mississippi,” said Lauren Haydel, Fleurty Girl founder and CEO. “Our boutique specializes in celebrating the joy and uniqueness of New Orleans culture – the perfect complement to Terrance’s beautiful artistry and The Vintage’s thoughtfully curated coffee.”

The partnership with Terrance Osborne marks the inaugural edition of The Vintage’s Signature Artist Series. Future collaborations will be announced at a later date.

The Vintage’s parent company, OnePack Hospitality Group, also includes staples of the local culinary scene, including the Legacy Kitchen Collection and Crack’D Brunch Restaurant.
